During our fun and relaxed workshop we will be drawing and painting focusing on and exploring the process of making marks on paper….

Using inks, pencils, crayons, pastels, paints, with various tools, brushes and found objects.

Creating texture with resists, layers, scratching, rubbing, scraping, making holes, ripping, collage and monoprinting.

Trying fun exercises such as non-dominant hand, double hand and automatic drawing.

You’ll come away from the workshop with some (perhaps slightly still wet) pieces of paper covered in amazing and interesting marks that can be used as inspirational springboards to your drawings and paintings. You will have learnt some tips and techniques to inject freedom and creativity into your future artworks.

All materials will be provided. All abilities welcome!

Just bring an open mind and overalls, an apron or clothes that you don’t mind getting messy in!
