Sherds

These sketchbook pages are developing ideas on from observing the rubbish that gets chopped up by mowing/ploughing at the edge of the fields and roadsides. This chopped rubbish gets scattered along the borders of the field, lessening in density as it is dragged along towards the centre of the field. It’s mostly plastic waste - food and drinks packaging. My eye is always caught by these brightly coloured sherds of plastic waste as they litter the ground.
